NOW, this may be a professional-looking website, and while I can certainly be a professional when appropriate - I also don't like to take life too seriously. I take pleasure in being weird, telling jokes, enjoying adult beverages with friends, and talking about nonsensical things. But, let me be serious for a moment...
SOMETIMES in life, we get "stuck in a rut" - maybe it's a lackluster job, a boring relationship, or a routine that lacks excitement and gives us that feeling that we're just "going through the motions". Well, throughout my entire life I've noticed that when I feel I'm stuck in one of those ruts, it's because I'm not getting fulfillment out of that aspect of my life. And what gives me fulfillment?
CREATING. And that's why I'm here. Whether it's making art, or designing a poster, or cooking a delicious meal, or writing a memorable Facebook post, or creating a silly rhyme for a friend's birthday - creating, is what gives me fulfillment. So, welcome to my weird, creative world.
DIVO (pronounced Deev-o, like the band) is the nickname that most of my friends call me. I am a graphic designer, born and raised and still living in Pittsburgh, PA. I love the Burgh, and all of its sports teams, obviously. As many a yinzer would say, "I bleed black & gold, baby!". I am slightly obsessed with sharks (primarily Great Whites), dinosaurs (primarily Tyrannosaurus Rex), and The Nightmare Before Christmas (primarily Jack Skellington). Because of this "slight" obsession, I have a tattoo of each of these, along with a few others. I love music, tattoos, and art. I like to rock hard, laugh hard, work hard, and play hard. I have an incredibly handsome & lovable dog named Django (Unchained), and a cute & friendly ball python named Salem. When I grow up, I'd like to brand, market, and cook for my very own food truck business. Or be an art director for a fun magazine. Or work in a friend's bar. Or write a horror movie about alien abductions. Or....
